Fraction Flowers

Our class has been working on fractions.  They created their own word problem and then showed their answer by colouring in the petals of their flowers.  It was a fun end of year activity.

  1. Mōrena Room 8,
Even though this is a 2017 post, I thought I'd welcome you to Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu for 2018. I'm James, and although I don't officially work with Manaiakalani any more, I still really enjoy dropping in to class blogs and sharing in the learning. This is a super creative way to learn about fractions and the fraction problem in the centre is excellent. I can see some of your super clever learners would start to convert into quarters and halves to make things extra tricky. I can't wait to see the learning shared this year and will drop back in again soon.
